Our Adult Build-A-Bike Workshops occur seasonally: spring, summer, fall, winter.
For a fee of $350, participants participate in a six week workshop (a total of twelve hours), working to rebuild, part by part, a quality bicycle provided by us. Under guidance from our experienced staff, you will learn the inner workings of the bike and gain a better understanding of how to maintain your bike. This makes for a better relationship with a bike that is longer-lasting, along with the pride that comes with having rebuilt your own bike from the frame up. Yes, ALL participants keep their bicycle!
Proceeds from these workshops go back to the Oasis Earn-A-Bike program. This insures we can continue providing quality programming that builds confidence, empowers youth by developing a skill set, gets teens outside, promotes good health, and often provides a means of transportation to work and school.
